Cluck A Murder Most Fowl by Eric D Knapp

I have a $0.00 marketing Budget - So I Need Your Help!

The best thing that you can do, of course, is buy a copy. If you buy it and you like it, the next-best thing that you can do for me is to hype the book on amazon.  Of course, you don't have to own it, read it or like it to hype it on amazon, but I'm an honest guy and would never suggest that you simply make up some compelling 5-star reviews and post them in a public forum.

  1. Go to amazon.com and post a review.  Star-ratings on amazon mean a lot - they are used throughout the internet, as many book sites pull reviews and ratings from amazon.
  2. If you've read other semi-relevant books — something by Terry Pratchett, Neil Gaiman, or the likes —  review that book and mention that it reminds you of Cluck.  Amazon lets you link products in reviews, so you can link right to Cluck.  True Story: an indie author friend of mine had someone link his book from within a review of a best-selling book, and he sold over a hundred books in one day as a result.
  3. Post about Cluck in your blog, myspace page, live journal, etc.  Link to http://www.cluckthebook.com in the post.  This helps more than you would think.  Google ranks your site in part by the content of your site, and in part by using external links to your site.  The more, the better.
  4. There are video trailers on youtube.  Again, viewing and voting for a youtube video helps push it into the public eye.  Feel free to "share" the videos with anyone you think might like them, too. Current trailers can be seen here (click on "more from cluckthebook" to see additional videos).
  5. Especially for those outside of NH — I've put some posters online (pdf files).  There is an 8x11 and 8x14 version.  If everyone prints one or two, and posts it in a coffee shop, university rec center, local bookstore, independent theater, etc. it will help to draw an audience that I might otherwise never be able to access.  Most local shops are okay with posting things for a good cause, and what better cause is there than supporting a starving artist?  Download them here:
